Belt Drives

It you have a belt drive, it often is ignored until something bad happens.  Make it a habit to check it regularly for wear and tear.

Cleaning

Scratches are a bike's number one enemy.  There's practically no way to avoid them.  Use only clean, cotton cloths or towels to dry or to apply cleaning products to the surface of your bike.  Never use common dishwashing detergent on your bike as it will remove the wax finish.

Gas Problem

If your bike sputters when giving it the throttle it might be a bad tank of gas.  Drain most of what's in the tank and go to a different gas station to fill it up again.

Winter

While storing your bike for the winter, use the following tips to avoid problems in the Spring!

  • Never remove the fuel from your gas tank while it sits in storage, just add fuel stabilizer
  • Remove the battery
  • Wash, wax and cover it with a soft non-abrasive cover.
  • For anyone who lives out in the country and stores his/her bike in a barn or shed, be sure to cover the exhaust pipes.  Rodents are notorious for making nests in the weirdest places!

Always remember to RIDE SAFE!
